Cardi B’s Four Haute Couture Paris Fashion Week Moments

It seems Law Roach borrowing dresses straight from the runway is already old news. We have officially entered the era of wearing couture before it has even been presented.

Cardi B had four memorable fashion moments during Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week, but two stood apart for exactly that reason. She arrived at the Rahul Mishra and Robert Wun shows wearing couture before it had appeared on the runway, while her Rowen Rose and Georges Chakra looks showed she wasn’t reserving all the fashion drama for the front row.

Rahul Mishra

Cardi B arrived at the Rahul Mishra Fall 2026 Couture show wearing a custom look inspired by the collection she was about to watch.

Rather than recreating one of the runway looks, this design translated the collection’s inspiration into a striking trompe l’oeil illusion. Rahul Mishra looked to India’s ancient temple carvings this season, and while the sculptural drapery appears to wrap around Cardi’s body, much of it is actually printed onto the fabric. Only the embellished waistband, necklace-like adornments and shoulder straps are physically applied, creating a clever interplay between two-dimensional illusion and three-dimensional embellishment.

It was an inventive way to introduce the collection before the first model had even stepped onto the runway.

Her second appearance was far less interpretive.

For the Robert Wun Fall 2026 Couture show, Cardi wore the look exactly as it would appear on the runway, complete with the sculptural crimson bodice, opera gloves and spherical handbag.

This was my favourite of the two.

Some will inevitably find it cartoonish, but that’s exactly why it works. Robert Wun’s surreal approach has never been about subtlety, and Cardi B has the personality to carry a look that borders on performance art. On almost anyone else it might have felt like a costume. On Cardi, it simply looked like another fearless fashion moment.

It was theatrical, unapologetic and the perfect match for both the designer’s vision and Cardi’s larger-than-life approach to dressing.

Out In Paris

Before the couture shows, Cardi embraced a lighter mood in a lilac Rowen Rose Spring 2027 polo dress which as presented two weeks ago during men’s fashion week in Milan.

The fitted silhouette, crisp white collar and cuffs, matching oversized floral earrings and vintage-inspired accessories gave the look a playful charm. I completely understand why someone on Instagram compared it to Fran Drescher. It had that same polished, feminine ’90s sitcom energy, updated with Cardi’s signature confidence.

Chopard Happy Night

Cardi changed gears once again in a Georges Chakra Fall 2026 Couture look that was 24 hours old.

The cobalt-blue sequined bodysuit beneath a sheer tulle cape embroidered with oversized feather flowers created one of the most dramatic silhouettes of the week. Finished with magnificent Chopard jewels, this was another reminder that few celebrities commit to couture with quite the same conviction as Cardi B.
